Getting Around Kenting by Bus

If you want to utilize public transportation when you travel in Kenting, you can choose to take Kenting Shuttle Bus (墾丁街車; Kěndīng Jiēchē) or The Tour Bus(觀光巴士; guān guāng bā shì). Kenting Shuttle Bus is the regular bus which you can hop on and off, whereas the Tour Bus is a packaged bus tour.

Kenting Shuttle Bus (墾丁街車)

Kenting Shuttle Bus has four routes. The orange line runs at 30-minute intervals. The green and blue line have fewer buses which arrive roughly an hour. You can pay the bus fare with EasyCard (悠遊卡) or purchase 1 Day Pass or 2 Day Pass on Klook.

The orange line has two different timetables, one for weekdays and another for weekends, holidays and school vacations. It’s because more buses run on weekends, holidays and school vacations since there are more tourists. In Taiwan, the winter vacation starts from Jan to Feb and the summer vacation, June to Sept.

The Tour Bus (觀光巴士)

The tour bus offers many different packages. There are pick-up points at Hengchun Bus Station and many hotels. It covers the bus fare, insurance, and live narration. You can book a package on 我愛墾丁, or contact PTbus or the hotel that you stay in.
